that second part:

I am like a table
that eats its own legs off
because it’s fallen
in love with the floor.

is one of the most brutal, playful, beautiful stanzas ever written.

i am like a table
with legs and a top
off of which people eat
because they need to

i am like a stanza
i am like a dog
or frank sinatra
i have worn things

can i come to your house?
if i do can i say bye when i leave?
then can i come back some other time?
and can i come back again another time after that?

You only like her 'cuz she won an award with your first name in it.

She reminds me of Maria Elena Cruz Valera. The poetic matter of factly.
